Eden Out

Eden Hazard is gone. Spain have gone and snapped away another world class Premier League player at the peak of their career. Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez are the names that spring to mind. He will be sorely missed. This is the worst thing to happen to the Premier League since Ronaldo left. Losing a player of that stature is a major blow. He is one of the best 5 players in the world and the man alongside Mbappe to take up the mantle from Ronaldo and Messi. 86 million is the initial fee for him, which could rise to 130 million. Good business for Real. They'll continue their pursuit of glory again with more star players after acquiring, Jovic, Militao and Hazard. But who next?

Eriksen or Pogba are the two players Madrid are mulling over signing next. Apparently they prefer Pogba, but he'd cost more, and there are some reservations about his attitude. This is why they're leaning towards Eriksen, who is in the final year of his contract. Spurs and Real have a good relationship too. For me, they have to go for Pogba. Eriksen isn't that good and would fail miserably. Pogba is a world class player and would flourish in that environment. However, I do think they'll end up with the Dane.

Santi Cazorla played for Spain yesterday and it's amazing to see the guy return. We all thought his football career was over when he suffered that terrible injury. But he's found himself back at the highest level, and as a favourite of many football fans, it's a great story.

Daniel James signed for United yesterday. A bright young player who may need time to find

his feet. I found it funny they announced the signing of him, then later reports came out that they were offering Mata a new contract. It's like they didn't want fans to get too happy for too long, so decided to bring them back down to earth. James is a good signing but I doubt it'll excite the fans and make their imaginations wander.

After that abysmal showing from England on Thursday, the Nations League finals come to an end tomorrow. I'll have a look at it in more depth tomorrow. See you then.
