With the Premier League just a couple of days away, I decided that I will do a post on what I think will happen this season in the all of Europe and more of a focus on the Premier League. The transfer news is also flooding in but I'll focus on that in the next 2 days. So here goes.
Winners: Manchester City
Top 4: Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal
Relegated: Newcastle, Norwich, Sheff Utd
City will win the league again. They're just too damn strong. Liverpool may come close again but not strengthening will cost them. Spurs will come 3rd but if they sign a few top players could they challenge the top 2? I fancy Arsenal to get 4th because I just don't trust Ole and Chelsea are too weak. They will make up 5th and 6th.
It's chaos at Newcastle. Fans against Steve Bruce, losing Rondon and Ayoze, they're in trouble. Norwich and Sheffield United will go straight down and Brighton won't be able to save themselves this season.
Golden Boot: Harry Kane
Golden Glove: Allison
Kane is the best goalscorer in the league and I'll always back him to win the Golden Boot. Has looked fitter than ever in pre-season and hopefully steers clear of injuries. Allison to win Golden Glove for obvious reasons.
FA Cup: City
League Cup: Liverpool
City to win the FA Cup, Liverpool to claim the League Cup. No treble for City this year.
La Liga: Barcelona
Serie A: Juventus
Ligue 1: PSG
Champions League: Spurs
Europa League: Arsenal
Most of these are obvious picks besides maybe Dortmund and Spurs for the Champions League. I think Dortmund will pip Bayern just about in the league and stunningly, Spurs will win the Champions League. Okay, it's a bit far fetched, but I don't see many top European clubs right now and they did reach the final last year. If they buy Coutinho and buy players before the window closes, then you never know. I fancy Arsenal to go one step better and win the Europa too.
