I wanted the transfer window to heat up a bit, and yesterday and this morning it did.
Firstly, Spurs have actually signed someone. Finally. Its been 3 transfer windows since they last did with Lucas Moura. But now they've broken that duck and got Leeds youngster Jack Clarke. Funnily though, he will return to Leeds on loan for the season but oh well. Spurs won't be done there with Ndombele imminent. Apparently he will be in London for a medical today, so things are looking bright for Spurs.
Arsenal have made a move for Zaha with a 40 million pound bid. Not as terrible an offer as people suggest. The fact that they've made this offer will make Zaha aware that they are in for him, and the Gunners will be hoping he kicks up a fuss. He has his heart set on a move to Arsenal, and apparently has no intention of going back to Palace to train. I thought this deal was never gonna happen, but after hearing about Zaha's determination, I reckon he may push through a move and Arsenal and Palace may come to an agreement around 60 million. This is one to watch though and I'm sure it'll drag on through the window.
United have made a 70 million pound bid for Harry Maguire according to Sky Sports. That is a HUGE offer. United must be very keen on him. I think he's a really good defender but 70 million seems a bit excessive. But if you want a player you got to spend the big bucks. Surely Leicester can't not be interested in that offer. Didn't they want 80 million? So this offer is sure to make them interested. Another deal we have to keep an eye on.
England take on USA in the women's world cup tonight while Brazil play Argentina in the early hours of tomorrow morning. I'll have a look back at them in tomorrow's blog plus any other news. See you then.
