Spurs to Splash the Cash

Time for another transfer round up the day before the Champions League final. And one of the teams I'm going to focus on is a team in the Champions League final. I've been urging Daniel Levy to back Pochettino. Now it seems like it's going to happen.

Spurs need a total revamp in midfield, especially assuming Eriksen is off. Incredibly, it seems

they are going to spend a lot of money this summer to maintain the fantastic job Poch has done and push this team on. Spurs are locked in negotiations with playmaker Lo Celso of Betis, who I assume would be an Eriksen replacement. I haven't seen much of him so it's hard to comment, but I know he's much in demand. A fee of around 60 million is being touted too which is crazy by Spurs' standards. As well as that, Spurs are trying to sign Ndombele from Lyon, who is a monster of a midfielder. He would cost a lot of money and lots of top European clubs want him, but what a statement of intent it would be if Spurs signed him. A midfield of Sissoko, Ndombele and Lo Celso would be a massive upgrade and with Kane and Son ahead of them, it would transform the team and look tasty. Spurs are also very keen on Ryan Sessegnon, which I can see happening pretty quickly after the Champions League final.

I don't even know if it's worth talking about Sergio Ramos. One minute he's off, one minute he's a loyal Madridista. It happens every summer now. I'd be very surprised if he leaves.

One thing is for certain though and that is Eden Hazard is off to Real. He confirmed it after the match. He will be a massive miss in the Premier League, and has been the best player in the league since he came. He's a joy to watch and will be sensational in Spain. Balon D'or pending for one of the planet's best five players.

Arsenal wanted to spend a lot of money this window if they got into the Champions League this summer. It didn't happen. And now apparently their transfer budget is a whopping 45 million. They were very keen on Wilfred Zaha and Ryan Fraser, but they're not going to happen anymore. I really worry for Arsenal next season and with a severe lack of funds and no real good signings coming, it could be a tough season coming.

Champions League final tomorrow. I cannot wait. I will post a match preview tomorrow morning. See you then.
