It's taken a while. It's taken them until the last week or so of the window. But it seems that Manchester United are finally getting some business done. Some much needed business too. Maguire seems to be nearly done. That's gone on for a while. Same for Bruno Fernandes. 2 players that would solve major problems for United. It'd be good work from the club. There's even rumours of a Dybala/Lukaku swap. I'm not the biggest fan of either play and it's weird that Juve want Lukaku up front for them. I don't think Dybala is that good either so I'm not really entirely sure who's getting the best deal there.
Spurs play Real today in a friendly. The prestigious Audi Cup. Interestingly, I do think it is somewhat a pretty important friendly for both teams. After Real's crushing defeat at the hands of Atletico, the media and general reception around them has been hugely critical. They need to bounce back. I've always been disappointed with Spurs pre-season. I'm worried they may be going backwards despite signing Ndombele. They need another midfielder and it'll be a big test for whoever plays right back today to prove themselves. Might be an interesting watch.
Everton are closing to signing Kean from Juve. That's impressive. A very talented young striker. They've needed a centre forward for years so this may just push them forward a few gears. If they get a replacement for Gueye (who is a great signing for PSG by the way) then maybe they can be quite dangerous next season. Lemina has been linked and he's seemed a decent player whenever I've seen him.
Pepe is in London for his Arsenal medical. Arsenal fans everywhere glued to their tellies for an announcement. Maybe in my post tomorrow he will officially be a Gunner. Only time will tell.
